Dr. Martens and X-girl are back for a second collaboration.
Dr. Martens and X-girl have returned for a second collaboration releasing at 10am on the 12th of June 2021. X-girl was founded by Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth in the summer of 1994 with her friend Daisy von Furth of @xlarge_us. The opportunity arrived after Mike D, a business partner of XLARGE, asked Kim if she would want to start her own clothing line - then X-girl was born.
X-girl is a pioneer of the “girls movement era” in fashion, music and art. The X-girl logo was designed by Mike Mills, respected filmmaker, graphic designer and artist. Mills carried on to do all the graphic design for X-girl . It was Mills' friend, Michelle Rock Wood who the iconic “face” logo of X-girl is based on.
That same year in 1994 the first X-girl shop was opened in Los Angeles and their notorious first fashion show was hosted on the streets of Soho, New york. The fashion show was produced by Sofia Coppola and Spike Jonze before they became a couple. The two had the perfectly smart and rebellious idea of hosting the show at the same time as the Marc Jacobs fashion show, stealing his crowds. Chloe Sevigny and Michelle Rock Wood walked the fashion show, which was free from permits, free from cops, free from care. An event that reflected the we don’t give a fuck attitude of X-girl and the time period. Establishing X-girl for years to come.
Therefore, in true GAG fashion, X-girl is a brand we can happily get behind. Just like Dr. Martens who also respect X-girl's eye roll to the mainstream. The inevitable second collaboration features two platform silhouettes that are made to defy and disrupt.

Returns & Refunds
Full price purchases placed online are eligible to be returned for an exchange, store credit, or refund providing your returns items fit our returns policy conditions outlined below if you contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order.
Contact must be made via [email protected] within 48 hours of receiving the goods advising us of return.
Returned Items must be unused, with the original tags & packaging still attached to the product. All footwear must be returned in the original shoe box, sunglasses and jewellery in the original case & box.
Shipping and handling is non refundable and returns are the customers responsibility until they reach Good as Gold Ltd.
