New Balance X JJJJound 992s are releasing at Good As Gold

Good As Gold is proud to announce that we are the only New Balance stockist in Australasia to be releasing the highly anticipated New Balance X JJJJound 992's. Montreal-based studio and mood board @JJJJound have created two collaborative New Balance 992s. Both colour-ways are dressed in tonal suede and mesh with JJJJound branding on the heel. M992JJ & M922J2 are releasing at Good As Gold on August 8th via raffle entry.

For their latest collaboration with New Balance, Montreal based design studio JJJJound explores the concept of “everyday.”

Initially ideated on the 990v3, the grey iteration of the JJJJound 992 is made to resemble well aged grey sneakers, tones that usually only come when the shoe has been well worn—the “weekday” shoe. The green colorway or the “weekend” shoe is a nod to vintage walking shoes, inspired by forest green hues.

Executed in premium materials like rich pig suede and featuring bespoke details like a custom insert, box and heel branding, the JJJJound 992 is at once new and familiar, luxe and utilitarian — a true elevation of the everyday.

What is JJJJound?

JJJJound launched in 2006 as a digital mood board intended to examine the recurring patterns in timeless design.

Since its inception, JJJJound has grown in the last decade into a collaborative design studio that aims to inspire through multiple channels; through fabrication of items with purpose and longevity, through the design and construction of meaningful physical environments, and through the continued curation of its digital platform.

In addition to its own projects, JJJJound has worked in collaboration with numerous established artists and brands to extend its strong design ethics. Located in Montreal Canada, the design studio is operated by founder Justin R. Saunders.

With thousands of curated images, the color-coordinated visual stream of consciousness has become a global mainstay and reference for the design community.
