Founded in Malibu California 2014 by Kevin O’Neill, the brand started as a search for an ergonomic multi-purpose sandal for wandering the hills and coastal beaches of Malibu that still looked cool. This quickly turned into a fascination with the huarache sandal and its iconic part in the history of late 1950s surf culture in Southern California. The huarache was traditionally made in Mexico with hand woven uppers and a both balanced and harmonious appearance.
Malibu's mission is simple: create comfortable, stylish and modern sandals using innovative, cruelty-free materials that deliver everyday wearability.
