Tabi - Science & Biomechanics
The big toe plays an important role in foot biomechanics. During walking, it poses twice the total pressure of the other four toes. It has a significant contribution in the mechanism needed for push off. By freeing the big toe, the Tabi Technology takes the body’s own natural biomechanics and amplifies them without trying to correct or change the way you walk or run. It works with what nature gave you.
Production
Tabi shoes are made with TENCEL™ fibers, derived from renewable raw materials such as wood and bamboo. These certified bio-based materials have a lower-environmental impact, and produced through a more responsible process than most footwear.

Tabi soles are crafted using sugarcane-based EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate), offering a more mindful alternative to traditional synthetic foam. Tabi is continuously seeking better materials, smarter solutions, and lighter steps — always working to improve.
