The choice of material for the final concept responds well to the brief. Among the COVID pandemic, we were able to source recycled mover’s blankets from a local company. This economic, ethical, and unique material aligned with our underlying concept of ‘always moving, but never going anywhere’. Seen as “comforting and nostalgic”, this familiar material was used in an unexpected setting.
We created a system of modular display units that could be stacked and repositioned. The lightweight, building blocks which can be easily shifted by all staff members, giving the opportunity to configure different display units and ensure the store looks new, even to the frequent visitor.
We wanted the store to look playful and busy, but not overbearing. To achieve this we kept a limited colour palette and strategically placed our chosen materials to utilise them to their fullest physical potential. All the fabrication (with the exception of powder coating) was done within our team of 2. In order to fabricate a unique store with such a small team, it was essential to design strategically. This was an excellent learning opportunity for us, both in the studio and on-site.
The modular display units allow staff to alter the store frequently and with ease, while the continuous clothing rack and choice of movers carpet respond to the underlying theme of ‘always moving but never going anywhere’.
Seen as the highlight of the store, the iconic yellow bar begins at the foot of the entrance. It twists and bends its way through the space while doubling up as clothes racks, curtain rails and support for hanging displays.

Returns & Refunds
Full price purchases placed online are eligible to be returned for an exchange, store credit, or refund providing your returns items fit our returns policy conditions outlined below if you contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order.
Contact must be made via [email protected] within 48 hours of receiving the goods advising us of return.
Returned Items must be unused, with the original tags & packaging still attached to the product. All footwear must be returned in the original shoe box, sunglasses and jewellery in the original case & box.
Shipping and handling is non refundable and returns are the customers responsibility until they reach Good as Gold Ltd.
Discounted items or Items purchased with special offer discount codes are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded.
