Leather & suede is one of the biggest environmental costs in footwear, so KEEN doesn't cut corners on where it comes from. Every hide is sourced from Leather Working Group certified tanneries, and in 2025, 100% were rated at the highest gold level, with Brazilian hides banned outright over their link to Amazon deforestation.
